Some encouragement I wrote to myself two weeks from 40. A kind of manifesto. A peek.

Come Here
COME HERE to rest and attend to life. Honor the richness of your imagination and mind by coming here first. Realize how strong the pull of that media is, how your phone doesn't help you write, listen or be in that deep communion with yourself and your love. And make that communion the priority beyond alongside being present, humble, grounded and willing to do the small tasks with big love and devotion to the great mystery.
Keep Making
KEEP MAKING offerings to the bird tribes, intentionally honoring the day each day, and intentionally honoring the night each night, flipping the yellow night light switch with humility and gratitude for another day.
Lean In
LEAN IN to your gratitude and joy for what is. Each glance, each look, each way. She's growing. The worlds, the words you get to say. The songs you get to sing. The walk you get to do — a great blessing that you're on time for.
Stay flexible and open
STAY FLEXIBLE AND OPEN, patient and equanimous, peaceful. Know and laugh as the situation changes. You know that it will and be ready to go with it. This is a great training in the dynamic interplay and each state of her growth is alongside your own. She won the lottery with you and Erica, and we won the lottery with her giving back and getting excited for what every day will bring. How lovely it is again and always.
Follow your heart and play
FOLLOW YOUR HEART AND PLAY. Remember that there's always something in the box of your imagination. Follow it, listen to it and love it for what it is an opportunity to serve and enjoy. Observe and pay attention. The maple limb limbs are blowing in the breeze, naked but for the small buds just forming. Attune and tune in to the unfolding of each day's season.
Just be yourself
JUST BE YOURSELF. You're a joy and a gem. You've been given so much. Now it's time for you to give back fully and wholly in and with yourself. Witness. rejoice. Repeat. Embody the uniqueness that you are, and
Remember your highest vision / version of yourself
REMEMBER YOUR HIGHEST VISION VERSION OF YOURSELF. Ye who is calm, grounded, not distracted, present, aware, upright, carrying a posture of purpose and peace and doing whatever is available to you.
